TAMPA BAY CORAL - AGATIZED FOSSIL
Agatized Fossil Coral is Florida's state stone. This amazing stone is found in ancient ocean beds and they are 20-30 million years old, from the Oligocene-Miocene period.
These unique and amazing fossils were found in the Tampa Bay area, near the Ballast Point. Prehistoric fossils are sought after by collectors of all types. Most all Florida agatized coral locations, once open for collecting, are now closed. All fossils used in our jewelry were ethically sourced from geologist and were harvested in the late 60s and early 70s.
